Christ Crucified

Posted in Just Venting with tags , , , , , on April 17, 2014 by D.D. Edwards
I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me (John 14:6).

Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, . . . Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God (1 Cor 1: 23, 24).

Jesus’ final words from the cross

I. Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.

II. Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.

III. Woman behold your son! . . . Behold your mother

IV. Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani? My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

V. I thirst

VI. Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.

VII. It is finishedTheCross&TheLife

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me . . . (Gal. 2: 20).

Hubble Bubble?

The Hubble Telescope just sent back some fantastic pictures of really deep space–deeper than ever before called Frontier Fields. Is this the Final Frontier?

In any case FF has NASA now drooling to go where no one has ever even dreamed of going. The “dots and spots” of light are of new galaxies–not stars.

ABELL 2744

Abell 2744
This long-exposure Hubble Space Telescope image of massive galaxy cluster Abell 2744 is the deepest ever made of any cluster of galaxies. It shows some of the faintest and youngest galaxies ever detected in space. Abell 2744, located in the constellation Sculptor, appears in the foreground of this image. It contains several hundred galaxies as they looked 3.5 billion years ago. The immense gravity in Abell 2744 acts as a gravitational lens to warp space and brighten and magnify images of nearly 3,000 distant background galaxies. Credit: NASA, ESA, and J. Lotz, M. This is really intriguing stuff. So why the Hubble Bubble?

Well we had the “real estate bubble” and the U.S. government is spending money we don’t have and forfeiting the prosperity of generations to come and they want to check out the Frontier Fields? Per NASA they are looking back 3.5 billion years

Empirically it would take thousands of light years to get to the Fields and I don’t think ol’ Earth is gonna be around that long.

Killing U.S. Softly

I don’t know when America is going to wake up to reality. The underlying truth regarding political correctness is that all truth is relative!

We the people are NOT getting it quickly enough–we are afraid someone will challenge us, call us a bigot, homophobe, islamaphobe, a misogynist, or even . . . mean– so we don’t fight the evil in our system.

Many of us have been decrying for over a decade our open borders, but we let the government thrust full body pat downs of our little 3-year-old girls and boys, and eighty year-old grandmas in wheelchairs. But someone in hijab or even a full burqas go right by TSA agents.

Our country is under attack from within and without. Yet we do nothing. I have schooled myself on the intricacies of Muslim terrorists–I thought. But I was not aware of this until a friend sent me a link to the following video on Economic Warfare via arson. This is real. This is NOW!

Way to Go Beth!!

Posted in Just Venting with tags , , , on August 1, 2013 by D.D. Edwards

If you have been following my blogs much (probably unlikely) you know I love Keeshonden–that’s a breed of dog in the non-sporting class, part of the Spitz family.

My wife discovered them some thirty-five years ago and in the succeeding years we have owned five; two bitches and three dogs. Some months after the demise of Berklee, our fourth, we decided we needed to fill that void.

Stacee ShowsWe bought our fifth Keeshond from Beth Blankenship the owner of Trumpets Keeshonden. Beth, a top breeder headquartered in South Carolina, had a 31/2 year old bitch she wasn’t going to breed and we bought her. Her name was Trumpet That’s Not My Name. Stacee is her common name.

ShowSight, The Dog Show Magazine just published the Top Ten Breeders of 2013 and in the Non-Sporting Class, for Keeshonden, Beth took both the second AND the fifth spots.

Way to go Beth!! Congratulations.

Mean Conservatives and Political Correctness

Posted in Just Venting with tags , , , , on April 11, 2013 by D.D. Edwards

Why are conservatives so mean? Isn’t that is the overarching question liberals, media, and others asks.

Is it the case they are really “mean” and “mean-spirited?”

Also what is the big deal about political correctness–I mean after all, we don’t want to hurt people’s feelings, or damage their self-esteem do we?

You might perhaps, find these two short clips, besides being entertaining– helpful.

Obama’s Amerika is now free to move FORWARD.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, this cartoon published by pretty well says it. Only it seems like it should be Roadrunner, not Wiley Coyote falling into the abyss–do-ya-think?

Nevertheless, the point is made and America is toast.

Or to put it another way . . .
